

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) convened a stakeholders’ meeting on Friday January 16, 2026 to review the party’s e-registration and political activities ahead of the 2027 general election.
The meeting, attended by party members from the seven wards, focused on reviewing progress on APC E-Registration and Continuous Voters Registration. Party leaders and members deliberated on strategies to enhance grassroots outreach and voter registration.
Key outcomes from the meeting include the party’s emphasis on inclusive stakeholder engagement, voter registration and collaborative problem-solving. The party has involved diverse groups, including party leaders, artisans and persons living with disabilities, in its outreach efforts.
The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo Daniel, has initiated projects to support local businesses and entrepreneurs, including vocational skill acquisition and business training programmes. The LCDA has completed several projects, including the Seven Strategic Roads project and plans to upgrade local markets to boost economic activities.
The party’s efforts are aimed at strengthening its electoral capacity and positioning itself for victory in the 2027 general election.
